Lashkar Valley - general feedback
Nothing but praise form me on this map... great map & layout.
Very tough for the Brits, perfect for ambushes and Taliban hit & run tactics. The way Insurgency should be...Love the diversity between the hills & green zone valley.

Well, thanks.
Been hoping to get a bit overall feedback from players, so post away people - i'm listening!
I'm working on a couple of fixes right now wich should improve performance, the DoD is also getting fixed and the bugs/ glitches that have been reported as well.

Too bad I can't report anything but lags. Tried to play it for 30 minutes, but whenever I saw an enemy my game just hanged. It was very frustrating so I just switched map. Overall the map looks beautiful though. Waiting for those performance improvements

The DoD (Dome of Death around the ISAF main) will fix that problem.

No, Clueless is right. It shouldn't just depend on the server (no server is admined 24/7) and IMO the whole bottom 4-6 grids around the UK base should be a Dome of Death. Taliban have no business base raping on this map.MadTommy wrote:^^ play on a server that does not allow baserape and is actively admined![]()

baserape on insurgency is fine in itself, thats what they do anyways every chance they get. just that map has the major problem of them getting inside and next ting you know 50 tickets worth of assets are gone.

I really love this map too hans, its really great, with a variety of terrains, and I'll faint with joy when it features zee Germans.
I also love one of the eastern caches, I've never seen CRF's cave statics used that way, very clever.

I also offer my praise. Map is gorgeous.
It need less lag/better optimization, and ofc Dod, other than that..

Re: Lashkar Valley - general feedback
No, I disagree. Base attacks are a major issue in the real life conflict, with frequent attacks on coalition bases and soldiers consistently coming under fire very very quickly on leaving their base on patrol. I refer you to the video below that demonstrates this point. It would be churlish to ignore this fact for the sake of a supposed "safezone" for the coalition force in-game. With that in mind the Taliban have plenty business base raping on this map.00SoldierofFortune00 wrote:No, Clueless is right. In my opinion the DOD should cover a 100m radius from the British main, it is not realistic for Taliban forces to get into the base itself but it is highly realistic for them to be able to get close and just as realistic for them to be able to fire in. Until this is corrected Tommy's point of playing on a well adminned server that does not allow the Taliban into the main is entirely valid.

I would also like to add my congratulations Hans. I simply cannot fault the map in the slightest, wonderful effort.

Re: Lashkar Valley - general feedback
I would say that irl USA doesn't build there bases at the feet of mountains or that small cars packed with explosives can force the gates or that big trucks can blow the hole base up. BLUFOR shouldn't be forced to waste players defending the base and furthermore it's unfair as the insurgents can't really enter the base anyway.Jigsaw wrote:No, I disagree. I've played far too many games recently where I feel like half the team is doing nothing and only like 14 players actually assaults.
Irl BLUFOR don't attack a foe they don't outnumber and they never fight with a 2:1 K/D ratio so don't bring in "real life" in this game mode.

Re: Lashkar Valley - general feedback
Personally, I think the DoD should only extend 75-100m from the walls. It would solve having the entire taliban team infesting the place, yet still allow base attack.
And believe it or not, bases are attacked directly IRL. Including the ones built at the base of mountains. Even Bagram AFB, despite its size, is routinely attacked(by rockets and car bombs anyway). And given the small size of the base on this map, a truck bomb really could blow the whole thing up.
