250 Pound Bombs.

Post by Hunt3r »

So, how about adding them?

Instead of 2 500 pound bombs, we replace them with 4 250 pound bombs. Reduces potential for friendly fire, and means either you get more accurate with those bombs or you get someone to lase for you.

Also, seeing as how there really is not a proper bomb sight, you can still make up for accuracy by dropping 2 bombs, with greater chance of hit.

Men I rarely died from fridely fire of granades, maybe brazilian guys are quite carefull in the server.

still, 4 granades and lower explosive will make guys rain off granades, this is not unreal. but there is alot of people that will just hate this. besides, i will not see this has a problem, since german do Granades Rain in WW2.

Bombs for planes, not small grenades. Have you ever seen a 500 lb heavy grenade for soldiers? That would be a strong soldier.

Yes, but that would be for heavy targets... we don't have those in PR, or at least not many.

Besides, if you want to clear out an entire bunker in Kashan with a bomb, shouldn't that be something for the commander to call in?

There is a small problem with keeping with realism. The US Equivalent of the 250 Pound bomb, the Mk-81, does not have a guided addition kit, like the GBU series. The Russians do not make a 250lb Equivalent either.

Edit: Oh wait, the Americans do have the GBU-39/40 Small Diameter bomb. Actually, this does give me a idea.

According to our sources, Russia don't attach laser guidance systems to bombs less than 1,000 pounds. So we're already being very lenient on the Russian MoD's budget in PR :p
