PC dying?

Post by karambaitos »

Well basically when ever I try to do something that requires 3D rendering my screen goes black then there are strange glitches (look like static) and finally the PC freezes.
Drivers are not the problem i also changed the GPU and same thing happens.
can someone tell me what else could it be?
Im fearing it might be the Motherboard but Im not really experienced with malfunctioning hardware :)

Could be the mobo, if u changed the gpu. I work with a crappy gpu (at work) and it only slows down the rendering of geometry. What may have happened is a problem with your PCI bus.

If it is old, it will be cheaper to replace with new

its most likely overheating
changing the gfx wont help because they'd just get the same, chip that overheats as fast as the old one

you should try to get special drivers - they can decrease heat
also elevating the laptop to let it receive more air should help too

generally: check your temperatures

also remember to post your specs - esp if its a hardware issue
