Just saw on Planetbattlefield.com today that someone made an Osprey for the AIX mod but is also releasing it to the public, check it out here:
V-22 Osprey for Experimenters and modders - Battlefield SinglePlayer Forum
I think its beautifully made, and from what I read 100 percent functional. I know that PR does have an osprey already but I think this one looks alot better and probably has all the kinks worked out with VTOL flight. If anyone would download this and try it and tell us how it is Id like to know.
Maybe this can be put in PR for the USMC? It shouldnt be hard as the author is giving it away.
Also, check out the Allied intent extended mod website : Allied Intent Xtended Website : The premiere coop and single player mod for battlefield 2! Home
Theres alot of good aircraft in that mod {CH-53, mirages, mig21 etc} and weapons too {though some would be really unrealistic for PR} Perhaps the DEVs could ask permission to use some of these in PR?

Re: Osprey from AIX mod
The Osprey has been discussed to death, and while many would love to see it, with our engine limitations, the Osprey can't fulfill the role its made for. RC Mod let PR use their Osprey before they closed down, so if the Devs ever decide to, then they'll have a model to work with. I've played AIX mod a few times, and to be honest, although its all fun, I don't think the models in AIX are up to the standards that PR demands of. Plus the CH-53 in AIX, is a older model that the Marine Corps don't use anymore/have gone through replacing.
