Commander teleport script?

Commander teleport script?
So I was on a server (won't say the name) just now trying to command a bunch of unorganized militia. When the UAV was recharging, i grabbed a Pickup and moved to the frontlines.
After I arrived I got teleported back to the Militia main and got told that CO's can't leave the mainbase. I quickly looked up the server in the Server Feedback forum here and checked the rules. No such rule was present, so i grabbed another pickup truck and again went to the front, only to get teleported back to the main again.
I know some flinging is going on for rule-breakers, but teleporting? I've never seen that before.

There is an admin command to teleport, if thats what you're talking about.
Only for AD Script servers though? (Someone else can confirm that)

I really think punishments like flinging are just for the admin's amusement, You also see admins fling people for no reason. But I've never seen teleporting before, very odd though I hope its not in most servers because that could frustrate me.

Was more wondering if the use of these kind of commands are allowed by PR Server License.

Nope, AD Admin doesn't provide a teleport command. Perhaps a modified version does. Or the server in question is using some other admin tool or script. I know that some servers used scripts which allow admins to teleport players and other object in the game.
There was an incident, where the commandpost was teleported 20m above ground by accident, which was kinda funny to look at.
Afaik, 10th community server admins used the teleport functions to prevent ppl from solo-driving armor out of the mainbase or baseraping (better to beam baseraper back to mainbase, instead of killing them by command) some time ago, which is a good thing in my opinion.

yes, there are custom scripts done to move players. if you were commander, you should probably stayed in main base where commander works best, that's probably why you were moved away from the battle ground.

Commander works best in the main when UAV is available. I've been in a full transport chopper that went from 100 ft to who knows how high? Pilot missing too. We all had to jump to our deaths. Or suicide.

Commanders do not belong in the field spotting or building anything. He/she should be at main in command post giving commands and communicating with squads. If the UAV is bingo on fuel, wait... it comes back. You need to be able to mark the map when requested by squad leaders.
Nothing is more frustrating as an admin to see squads/commander separated from their squads/command post, and "teleport", though I've never used it, is a much better option than mutiny or being kicked. If you don't like the way a server is run, try appealing on their forums or don't play there.

Not so, Harrison.
The commander is no longer a "Command Center" style commander; he is more of a platoon leader. Being on the ground and in the fight (in cover) gives them a much more accurate perspective on a fight. The UAV pales in comparison to an in-field CO.
While certainly it is up to the server to decide how they'd like, there's a reason this change was made: Sitting around all day looking at the same screen is boring.

The point of un-gluing the commander's screen from the CP was to allow a commander to be another body on the field, building FOBs, directing air/artillery, and fighting the enemy. Having a script that teleports the commander back to base is completely stupid given the changes the DEV team made in .9.

im a commander in the PR Tournament, and i almost never stay in main when i command public games, the only time i do that is when i have to use the Arty, which is only accesible at the main.
Really, being on mumble as a commander, and unscrewing unnecesarry problems is alot better than just watching blue and green men use endless amount of time to get somewhere
