Hello. Last week the weirdest thing in my BF2 history happened. I was playing PR as per usual, got a bit bored and quit. I had some video chat problems with my GF, and had to mess with my Mic. Then a few hours later, i decide to play once more- I start PR and...there is NO sound! I start AIX and there is NO sound D: I start vanilla and...nothing. I figure it's my computers sound and tyr to mess with some Youtube videos, some iTunes- but everything sounds fine- only BF2 sound isn't working.
Being my usual self, I try to reinstall BF2 and now... it wont work at all. I installed BF2, tried to install the patch, and now it just crashes to my desktop when it starts(the screen goes black like it normally does-then it goes to desktop). I've contacted EA.support and their usual "we should contact you back within 24 hours" message was ent to me 2 days ago...
If anyone has any suggestions at all, please help me! I've just manually unistalled BF2 and i'm not gonna do anything about it until I can figured out what's going on here.
Thank you.

Re: BF2: no sound, while computer has sound?
Your sound problem probably origniated from you messing with the sound devices on win7 or vista I assume (please remember to post specs when asking for help).
Your main audio device is probably not set as "default device".
as for CTD: you need to run pr as admin
and also have to have patches 1.41 and 1.5 installed (in that order!)
