BRDM, LAV-3, BMP-3 need fixing.

Post by Hunt3r »

Simply put, the BRDM and LAV-3 have made me PARANOID to try off roading at all. They both roll at the snap of one's hands, and attempting to do anything with them besides going on roads is extremely dangerous. I realize it might be realistic, but it's unfair when a BTR-80 can unflip itself by jimmying with the throttle and turning some.

The BMP-3 feels as if it's been broken compared to the last few releases, because it too now has a propensity to roll, and it's veryyy annoying to lose such an expensive asset.

BRDM and BMP-3, yes.

I haven't had the same problem with the LAV-3.

It is way too easy with the BRDM though. It doesn't even need to be going particularly fast, even on the road, to roll during a turn.

The LAV-3 on Archer will change your mind. You get stuck in a ditch, you roll over. The BTR-60 and 80 are unflappable and I actually managed to unroll one that in any other vehicle would be a lost cause.

You mean the LAV-3 on Archer?

Agree totally, it is VERY hard to not roll it even when driving with care.

The BRDM will actually roll if you make a hard right or left at high speed. I've read that it's getting new code soon though to stop that.

The BTR series (maybe the lav-25 also) are the best for apc physics I've seen, nearly impossible to flip them over. I've gone down hills, nearly 90' and suffered no damage whatsoever, let alone tipping over at all. Getting the BMP-3 physics similar to the BTR's would be great, but I have of course no idea how feasible that is in any way.

I managed to backflip one while going up a hill which the civilian cars manage with ease. I don't think I've managed to turn a vehicle upside down longways in PR ever before...

Same here, LAV-III did a back flip going up a hill on Archer. Ridiculous...

The smell, you know that gasoline smell, the whole hill. Smelled like... victory. Someday this war's gonna end... "

Ah, yes, I have flipped an LAV-III on Archer going up a hill. It was a pretty steep hill though.

Whoops, yes.

It's a suggestion because in reality I wouldn't be surprised to see all vehicles behave like an LAV-3.
