When looking for answers please follow these simple steps.
#1 : Read the red stickys First.
New PR problems are rare so most answers can be found here.
#2. Use the search feature on PRs web site or GOOGLE IT!.
Often the quickest way to find what your looking for when you have an error message.
#3. Please remember to include your basic PC info in your post
You have spent some time trying to help yourself without any luck, so your ready to ask for help:
Please include your basic PC info in your post :
Operating system = XP, Vista etc.
systems specks = cpu/speed, ram installed, video card/video ram on card, type of monitor
network setup = cable, 4 port 10/100/1000 d- link gamers lounge/ wired connection.
And a brief history before and after problem started.
Please describe when your CTD or problem hits and
what you have already tried.
The more info you can give the better your chance of getting a quick answer back.
You don't have to write a book,
but your basic PC info is needed to help you.
Good luck

Re: CTD when loading Iraqi INS maps
Run PR in 'windowed' mode
If you still have problems
run PR in 'windowed' mode to see if any error messages come up
(instead of running in full screen, it runs in a 'window')
To do so
Right click on shortcut.
Choose properties from bottom of list.
Modify the text in your shortcut's 'target' window.
Change
+fullscreen 1
to
+fullscreen 0
So it should look like this:
"C:\Program Files (x86)\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2\mods\pr\pr.exe" start +widescreen 0
( If you don't see it add: start +widescreen 0 )
Restart PR and load an IRAQI INS map.
Hopefully you will now be able to see an error message you can use to figure out what is causing the problem.
Then Google or use 'search' on Project Reality web page for the error message you get.
Good luck and welcome to the forums!

Re: CTD when loading Iraqi INS maps
I have the same problem, started just now: I've CTD-d on Al Basrah(ABC server) twice, after loading the map and joining in, and once on Fallujah West (I think it was coffeeshop server).
My specs:
Gigabyte GA-EP45-DS3 MOBO
Intel [email protected] CPU
4Gb DDR2 RAM @1066Mhz
Sapphire Radeon HD4870 Toxic GPU
500GB Hitachi hard drive
Windows Vista x86 OS(up-to-date)
What Ive tried so far:
-tried running in windowed mode, it didnt show me any error or message(though I dont know where should I see it, please help me in this, Im a noob)
-i used bf cleaner, it deleted 760 files, then tried to hop on fallujah west on coffeshop, and right after i spawned and picked up a kit, I CTD-d
-tried joining a non iraqi insurgency map;gaza beach(I think it was on NWA server) with the same result
-tried joining a non insurgency map, Muttrah on Skyttegrav: I CTD-d right after spawning.
-I havent installed any new software since I last played (the day before this happened), and I also ran a virus check with no result.
-I did not have this problem before and Im playing with PRv0.9 since it came out.
Any help is appreciated. Thanks in advance!
Edit: Sorry for writing into this thread, since I have a Vista and not win7, but the problem is the same, but if the MODs insist then Ill copy/paste this into a new thread.
Edit no2: Today I tried again to join a server, and this time it worked. I played a full round on fallujah west without CTDing. Nothing changed since yesterday apart from powering down and up my PC.
I have no idea what was wrong...
