Co-op PR Server Questions

Alright, I did a search for similar topics and could not find one. I would prefer this thread be moved or merged versus being locked for being misplaced or repetitive.

I have some questions about PR Co-op servers:

1. Do the bots count against server slots? For example, 16 real players and 16 bots would equal a minimum requirement of a 16 slot server or 32 slot server?

2. For a 32 slot PR server, what is the maximum recommended bot count?

3. Is there a way to force real-players joining the server to one team without bots and have the opposing team be only bots?

4. With novice admin abilities, is there a way to orchestrate bot spawning and routes of movement?

5. Is the co-op mode available for all the PR maps?

preatty sure they do- but if you buy a 32 slot- i think it still allows bots up to 64- if that makes sence (otherwise 4 person servers on aix would not work)

not that i know- but if you want it to be a "bot stomp" you have to have autobalance off- and their are the r-tards who will change teams- but just warn if you are on the bots team you can get kicked or banned.

dont think so

5. Is the co-op mode available for all the PR maps?

Only the old ones- No map realised in V0.9 is avalible for SP

My answers may not be 100% accuret =P

1. Player and bot counts are inversely proportional. If you have sv.maxPlayers 16, sv.coopBotCount maxes out at 48 (16+48=64). If you have sv.maxPlayers 32, sv.coopBotCount maxes out at 32 (32+32=64). The most players + bots you can have on a server is 64. The most bots you can have on a server is 48. That is the "defaults". However, you can modify these values by editing mods/pr/ai/aidefault.ai, but you are still limited to 48 bots on team 1, if you have 150 bots, then 48 will be on team 1, and 102 will be on team 2. I don't recommend you do this, bots are extremely resource heavy on servers, any more than 48 on most servers, and it'll be lagging pretty bad.

2. see above, 32.

3. Yes, sv.coopBotRatio. 0 means all to team 2, 50 means 50/50, 100 means all to team 1. However, take note of the limitations in 1.

4. No.

5. Not all maps are coop supported. More will be supported in future patches.
