Hello all, I'm new to these forums, but not the mod, been playing the mod from like the 0.7 version or whatever it was, so on to the feedback. Most of the time I fly transpor or attack choppers in the mod, but what I've noticed is that a minor hit from someones sidearm can cause panic to the pilot, because when the chopper is taking fire from some small arms, all the screen goes red like you got hit, maybe you guys could tone down that effect and display only when there really is damage that can take you down? Also choppers seem to easily fail to couple infantry weapons like ak's , make the choppers a bit more resistant to small arms. And the other problem is jeep gunners, they can kill a lot if there is a good gunner on it, but its very hard to kill him. I was playing on one coop server and there was my team and we encountered a tali jeep, we 5 fired on the jeep and all kept hitting the gunner, but he just didnt die :/ although he dies like after about 50 rouds hit, also mg's kill the gunner easier, but still, looks like it has some sort of shield or something. These are the main problems that prevent me from fully enjoying the game, if they could be fixed it would be great.

Hi mate, welcome to the forums :)

I have to agree that the red is a bit odd, I'd prefer the severity of the hit to be determined by the sound of the impact.

I'm not sure about small arms, I think this is actually a problem with damage zones - you shoot the chopper...you hit the chopper rather than, you shoot the chopper, you hit the engine or a meaningless section. (which would correspond to a % HP decrease, as we cannot simulate damaged components specifically)

I would also agree that techicals are somewhat stronger than they should be, but the problem you countered about the gunner might just be lag or something, as there is no extra protection for the tali mg gunner.

Gotta agree with the chopper part, but the damage indication could be a little less "red", but the jeep thing isnt a lag problem, I usually play on 1 server and I have about 50 ms ping, others have similiar, and we usually encouter that thing ( gunner with invisible shield ), when we play fools road and my team meets up a enemy jeep, we all start shooting, sometimes we kill the gunner sometimes not :/ and if we dont it easily blows up our land rover :/ This cant be a lag problem, since many people encouter this. And where did Litle birds go? They were so fun to use and provided some more tactical/ fast insertions in tight spots.

LBs arent realistic. MH and AH-6s are only used irl by Spec Ops iirc.

Afaik the only reason we have LBs ingame atm is as a placeholder for the Kiowa.

Nice, didnt know that, but Ive only seen the kiowa as a gunship with multiple rocket pods + mg's. WIll there be any transport version? If yes then like what? open doors or inside only?

^ this has been talked about many times as the prefered replacement for the LB

the LB won't have a transport version because its not used by regular front line units, more of a Delta thing

Ok thx for the info and patience :) Also a litle suggestions Kashkan qould use 1 or 2 Chinooks :) It's fast, big, the land is flat, the map is huge and it gets quite booring to fly long distances for some time.

That would completely remove the Blackhawk from the game, its the only map left with them.

Theres only 1 bh in it now, so why not add a Chinook on one of the epmty pads?

No, there is 2. But I do agree, one of them should be replaced by a Chinook. Big map, big chopper.

Karbala has 2. Silent Eagle has 1. Kashan Desert has 1 or 2? <-Someone quote me on this. I think 1.

Speaking of Kashan, how come there aren't any AH-64s or Mi-28s? I figure that's probably one of the best maps for them.

And what's up with Silent Eagle? Eventhing on the map is mostly even, except the Russians get a Mi-28 and a Tunguska. And the US get a...LB? Seriously? They don't even have an Avenger that I know of.

I think the jets, asymmetrically, are supposed to take down the Havok.

I haven't had the opportunity to play it. I usually try to stick to 32v32 servers. If I see Silent Eagle 32 on a server, I'll try it out.

Got 1 quick qustion can you close the ramp on thr big twin prop chopper the chnook or somingthing like that.

Chinook's ramp closes automatically either when you reach a certain height or a certain speed.

Cant remember which though, but it cant be closed manually.
