I need a quide

Post by Winstonkalkaros »

I'm nothing but a beginner in this game and i have only one definition. To learn more. PR manual is great and i can use it always when I'm finding explanation to something or when learning to use weapons and equipment.

Still, it would be fantastic to have some kind of strategy guide/s. Exact info on every vehicle, weapon and kit on the game would be great. I made lot of notes during the combat and it is not necessary to know all this but i could help me a lot.

There is some PR guide at this site but for some reason it requires password. Do i have to join something to ge there.

Wiki is down for ages...

The best option is to simply play the game and ask fellow players.

And you should bea role model for most of the newcomers, never seen someone so serious when starting to play PR.

You are a total noob. Which is absolutely awesome because you're making the effort to get to know the game before getting serious.

What many people do with PR is they specialize in a certain area. Some people get super awesome with the Rifleman Specialist kit, Medic kit, Auto Rifleman etc. On the other hands some may be experienced in tanks or APCs, helicopters or even commanding the team.

I would suggest learning the basics of infantry as it is always available on every map (other than Vehicle Warfare layers :razz :)

There are a ton of good guides in the tactics sections of the forums.

Here are some of my favorites that I suggest you read over if you're interested in them:

Masaq's Infantry Tips
https://www.realitymod.com/forum/f138-i ... -tips.html

Murkey's Video Medic Guide (REALLY good)
https://www.realitymod.com/forum/f138-i ... guide.html

Colonelcool's guide to armor.
https://www.realitymod.com/forum/f139-a ... armor.html

Once you get decent at infantry and you have some decent leadership skills, you can also have a go at squad leading, which contrary to popular belief, is very demanding.

I'd suggest my guide here but there are a ton (some great, some horrible) here.

All the "guides" posted are just people's opinions that I personally wouldn't even recommend a beginner. They're better off just playing and picking it up from people around them.

I'm hoping once the PR Guide is finally up it'll have equipment lists, vehicle info, an explanation of area attacks, etc.

Once you've covered all the basics just find a squad that talks a lot, tell them you are new and ask them to help you out.

If you teamkill anyone, blow up a friendly cache, run over mines, etc, apologize and state your noobness, then try again.

I disagree. New players every day waste jets and assets because they don't know how to use them, EG flying a jet at 50m altitude or flipping a chopper.

Guides that have basic tips and tricks help alot.

when i started i searched youtube for tutorials, there is plenty material there. ask your squad mates if something interests you, most of them will be glad to give you an answer

one advice, dont fly choppers/planes on servers couse youre probably end up geting kicked for asset waisting. practice first on coop before you start fyilng

I think the guys who try and fly choppers without knowing what the hell they're doing are just not giving a damn. They got to see people waiting for them to spawn each game and after crashing the first one, it shouldn't take a whole lot of asking for them to figure out that training mode is where they should be at.

I mean if you try and fly a chopper without knowing what you're doing, you're guaranteed to flip it. Then, you'll probably ask what the hell happened and somebody will tell you to join a training server.

I made this guide...

https://www.realitymod.com/forum/f10-pr ... guide.html

Don't know if it's helpful :( any feedback? :)
Guys, when a new player comes, just answer his question and go on your merry way, instead of going berserk! It's THAT simple! :D
