Check the controls. I once got into a training server and was struggling to take off in a plane, ultimately crashing all other players on the runway. I didn't know I was so bad at flying. Then I checked the controls only to see the keys being used by some falcon nonsense

Good thing it was a training server :o ops:

By default the arrow keys don't control aircraft/helicopters. Go into game controls and bind the "falcon" whatevers as arrow keys. Look at your game controls, I know I sound stupid now, but it will be crystal clear when you look at them!

Yeah, you gotta change it if you want to taxi properly with a keyboard.

after 1.5 patch install you have to setup your controll settings for heli and aircraft.

If I'm not mistaken, a while back I noticed on my profile that sometimes the secondary keys didn't work for some reason.

For Example:
Keyboard was set on secondary and joystick was on primary. Keyboard didn't work.
When I switched it around, joystick on secondary and keyboard on primary it worked fine.
Try it, see what happens.
Could also try hitting the reset to default button and then rebinding your keys to what you want.

By the way, Falcon is controller that in the 1.5 patch, EA made BF2 compatible with it.
