[?] 2nd Install of PR for modding/editing?

Is there anyway to install or make a 2nd copy of PR in the mods folder so i can edit and add new stuff without being kicked from servers for modified content?

I already tried to copy and paste the PR folder and rename it, it crashes when loading a map at like 15%.
I also tried installing another copy of PR using the installer that didnt work either since u cant change what path it installs to.
I also tried installing Bf2 again but it wont let you.

Anyone know how? I know some personal modders have edited copies of PR anyone like to share how?

Thats what i did (copy the Pr folder and rename it pr_edit) but not the bit about exracting all the stuff becasue i wasnt planning on using it with the editor i was planning on making a copy to use to test my own addons to PR in local and co-op. thanks for the fast reply

you need to edit your shortcut:

"...Battlefield 2\mods\pr\pr.exe"

to

"...Battlefield 2\mods\pr\pr.exe" +modPath mods/pr_edit

for windowed mode

"...Battlefield 2\mods\pr\pr.exe" +modPath mods/pr_edit +fullscreen 0 +szx 1024 +szy 768

Thanks Leusch got it working thanks to your help. It didnt work when i edited the client and server archives, so i had to directly add the files to the objects and menu zips.
