[Help] BF2 Editor: Directx 9.0c

It says I need directx version 9.0c or higher to run BF2 when I can run BF2 fine. The editor gives me this error. I installed the latest directx already.

do you use windows7 or vista ?

if so you have to run /EA GAMES/Battlefield 2/bf2editor.exe in compatibility mode XP
