Mouse inverted

Here's a weird one.

After losing one of my hard disks, I had to relocate my My Documents folder (which was on the dead disk) so I could play PR.

I created the Battlefield 2 folder in My Docs, and the profiles & mods folders have appeared, as have the relevant .con files.

I tweaked my newly created profile to get my video, sound, and controls settings the way I like them.

Everything is set up properly, with the exception of one thing. When I press caps lock to go into map view, my mouse is incorrectly inverted. When I push up, the pointer goes down, and vice versa.

In infantry view, I have it set so pushing up looks up, and vice versa. Likewise in vehicle, boat, aircraft etc. Nothing wrong with those settings - they're all fine.

However, I can find no reason why the mouse is inverting itself incorrectly when in the map/squad management screens.

I created a new profile from scratch also - same problem.

I can't reinstall, since the PR downloads are on my (currently) unavailable drive, and I don't want to download it all again right now.

Any ideas on why my mouse is playing silly buggers would be appreciated.

No problems with the mouse in any other games, or in Windows.

Have you visually inspected your control.con (current and default profile) to make sure there is no extra mappings? You could also try to copy con files from <bf2 install dir>\mods\bf2\Settings\Profiles\Default and see if it has any effect.

Yup I did look through the controls.con. All seems correct. Each section (inf, vehicle etc) is clearly defined, and I see no duplicate entries.

Will try a controls.con from elsewhere (though I did think that creating a new profile would use 'default' as it's basis.

Delete the BF2 folder inside your 'Documents' folder. When you restart the game a 'default' folder is created. It is a pain to have to redo all your binding but if it fixes you mouse it's well worth it.
