Graphics Glitch: No Black and White?

Post by eMeRgEnCyLeMoN »

I've been playing PR since .5, and I've never really had any serious problems with it besides the occasional CTD due to overheating, but I've got that all addressed.

I never thought I had any issues running it until I started watching PR vids on Youtube, where, when critically injured, the screen actually turned polarized black and white.

For some reason, my game never does this, I only get the blood around the edges and the blurred screen. It's been this way as long as I can remember.

I have the most recent version of BF2 as far as I know, and my graphics are all on High. I've tried messing with the graphics level as well, to no avail.

It doesn't present me with a serious problem, but I would like to know if anyone else has this issue and/or has any idea how to fix it?

It's a common issue with several different graphics card driver versions. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. More likely to appear with nvidia's cards than ati's, IIRC.

Dev's are well aware of this.

I have the same problem (for a long time now), using an NVIDIA 280GTX, and before on an NVIDIA 8800GTS (640mb), under Vista 32bit, latest drivers, graphic settings on high except for medium setting textures.

Yeah, I'm running an nVidia GeForce 9600M GT, so it's probably an nVidia thing. I have all my drivers up to date I think, so the only thing would be to try a different card.

I'll try messing with my card settings and see if that helps.
