How to enable a bunkerbuster bomb

This idea came to my mind last night and i just rememberd it a minute ago... weird right?

so my main idea isnt OH lets give the game bunker busters blah blah ... its more along the lines on How could a bunker buster work in PR?..

My first idea was is it possible to make the "bunkerbuster" bomb a mesh?? have the Mesh bomb fall through the air just like a normal bomb and when it hits an object it passes right through.. suchas a bunker on kashan or missle silo on silent eagle.
....... If you have ever glitched into a building on VBF2 (not saying i cheat but i have before) You can walk right out from the inside of the wall no problem and any explosinns inside the building effect objects outside the building suchas a car,person,supplycrate.

is it possible to give the bomb that sort of ability? OR would it have to act Just like a Jdam that passes right through walls objects etc...

That would be my second idea...
Give a Bunkerbuster the explosion physics of a jdam (Not damage radius)
give the bunker buster a Slightly larger radius than a normal dumb bomb and allow the explosion to pass through the walls of any object for the entire radius of the explosion.

IF that makes sense.....

so my 2 main points. EITHER
1.(Top image) allow bomb to pass through walls ( if possible )
2.(Bottom image) Give bomb new explosion physics to reach farther into a static object. AKA Bunker

bunker busters tend to be localised in their damage as they blow up within their intended target rather than on top of or above the target as a regular bomb does (thus doing damage over a much wider area)

So bunker buster is smaller condensed power good for busting up silos or the RC foundations on say a bridge

whereas a something like a JDAM is a surface detonation and a bigger bang.

Why not just add a small supply area to the current 500 pound bombs inside of the normal blast radius so you can't just hide under a hill and live.

The Commander deployed JDAM has this effect, where it will effective "Bust a bunker" in kashan.


If we're talking placing them in jets, I'm sure you can do it. perhaps have a smaller blast radius, but will penetrate hard surfaces, like bunkers.

Just curious, say you dropped a bunker buster on a bunker like the ones in kashan. And it goes through the top of the bunker, explodes below and kills everything. But then wouldnt the bunker be completely intact after this? As far as I know, the BF2 engine doesnt really have buildings that blow up {I know the PR devs found a way to do this, but I dont think it applies to big buildings like the bunkers} So Basically what Im saying is it would look kinda strange to have a bomb go through a building without there being a gaping hole in the roof afterward
