Win 7 Kernelbase.dll issue

Post by ComradeChaos »

I have played PR with no problems but I have a problem now. When I start the PR.exe I get an error message that lists this:

Description:
Stopped working

Problem signature:
Problem Event Name: APPCRASH
Application Name: pr.exe
Application Version: 0.9.0.0
Application Timestamp: 4b583ec1
Fault Module Name: KERNELBASE.dll
Fault Module Version: 6.1.7600.16385
Fault Module Timestamp: 4a5bdfe0
Exception Code: e0434f4d
Exception Offset: 000000000000aa7d
OS Version: 6.1.7600.2.0.0.256.1
Locale ID: 1033

Now I have no idea why this happens and it also occurs in other .exe's such as Yoma's addon sync and launchers for my Paradox games: EU3 and HOI3. :-x

You might have caught a virus. Scan your PC!
You might have a failing hard drive, run check disk (chkdsk c: /r) for clean up.
You might have failing RAM, run "Windows Memor Diagnostics" tool to verify integrity.

Think of what you have changed when this started to happen, maybe your new drivers or some new softwares are bugged?
Got a PROBLEM? Check this: PR:BF2 Installation Guide

Got a common QUESTION? check here first: PR:BF2 FAQ, MUMBLE FAQ

I don't happen to have a windows disk... :o ops: And did a virus scan and nothing came up.

I have only fiddled with my registry to create a virtual drive and happened flawlessly.

And no, has no relation to DirectX.

Something bad happened when you were poking around in there. :-?

I hope you have a back-up with a fresh Windows install to use.
