Black Screens of Nothingness

I just recently bought BF2 and downloaded Parts 1 & 2 of PR. After installing both parts, when I start up PR, I get the start-up screen then a series of black screens before being returned to the Desktop.

Now, the even BF2 won't start up. I've tried running PR as an Admin, but it's a no-go.

This happened when I installed a BF2 Patch, as well. I only managed to get BF2 to work after uninstalling the game and then re-installing it.

Is there any hope for me playing Project Reality?
