Show grid on zoomed map + markers for drivers

Post by kaufman_23 »

so basicaly keep the grids on the map when you zoom it in. it would be more realistic imho and it would hepl ppl stay oriented on maps they dont know

example:

markers for drivers. give drivers (armour drivers, pilots) the ability to put markers for them selfs. for example if you have 2-3 chopper pilots in a squad and they all need to go somewhere, sl can give only one mark at the time. but if the pilots could mark their LZ, it would be much easier for the pilots

give them only for the player in the driver seat, couse he is the only one in control of the vehicle and he should know exactly where he needs to go.

the marker would be visible only for the driver, and maybe for the gunner if it is a APC, tank ...

dont know if it is possible or not, but it would make things much more easier.

i did a search on both suggestions but didn't find anything . if it is a re-suggestion, I apologise

The grid does not reflect what the larger grid does so most likely it would just confuse people. And as for the markers, the multi-marker suggestion is most likely hardcoded. Theres only so much we can do on the BF2 engine.

This could be done by using these images for the minimap, or a similar version where the grids are "baked" into the map.
