Probably been discussed but I'm a horrible searcher... so anyways. I've filled up the maximum texture allowance on my map, but it would be good if I could have more than the default. Anyway to get this? or is it impossible?

BF2 can not support more than 6 detail textures.
You need to basically decide which detail textures you need the most and if say you have two concrete textures just turn them into one.

you can save texture selctions using tricks like roads, look at the village on qinling, the paths are done via roads rather than with detailtextures afaik

Ye, you can also use roads to do explosion marks etc and you can use staticobjects too but if that's just for terrain most of the time it will look like ****

^ I agree, I mean some people assign a cobble to their detail texture and apply it in their villages or whatever when a road could have done it

The problem with road textures thou is you don't have the flexibility of just painting a road down like changing its width for a layby or something like that but you still get a much better finish.
