Computer details:
OS - Windows 7 Ultimate x32bit

Installed memory (RAM) = 2.50 GB
*****I bought this Windows 7 & the game, its totally original******
Hell I'm David
I got a problem with installing Battlefield 2. First of all i lost my disc so i had to pirate the version (didn't loose my cd key).
The 'story' begins when i had a 'Invalid Cd key' message every time i joined a server, due the fact i played usually admin account and moved to a new account on Windows 7.
I had this problem before so i just took a look at the instructions that appeared at 'that' question, and did the same thing over here. Those were instructions first of all to refresh reg keys. That didn't work so i moved to the next step and manually uninstall Battlefield 2. So i went to the key list, as it says in instructions and found all keys except ONE. There were two last keys i had to delete and one was just not there, so i thought 'why not' and deleted the keys and deleted the folder & files needed. Then i put in the disc (thats when i had it) and try to install. It starts everything normal, but when it starts the first installation, it only takes 1 second, and it just 'skips' the whole progress bar and says 'installation finished', i clicked finish.
Ofcourse it didn't work, so i had to manually uninstall the bf2 again.
After i followed instructions from your team, i mean after this install problem, the installation crash appears even earlier, when it just loads the installation.
Don't know if its better or not, but this is how it is.
i have my cd key online, no worries about the disc i can say i got it.
i have deleted every possible damn registry key there is, and yet still says on my 'Uninstall Program' list that battlefield 2 TM is installed, since 4/4/2010.
Please help this problem is annoying.
Thank you for time for listening,
David Ginzbourg.

If you have a valid EA account for BF2 why not download it from EAs web site. The 1.5 update removes the CD/DVD needed in the drive to play. Sound like your 'copy' is corrupt.
You will need to download EA downloader app. It's free.
Good luck
In future don't use words like 'pirate' or 'crack' here.
A new BF2 cd can be had for as little as $10.00 bucks online!

I haven't installed it, says i have it installed but i have none of the battlefield 2 files that exist.
Its not installed and lost my disc, got the cd key.
I have checked each and each of the uninstall registry keys (regedit.exe > LOCAL MACHINE > software> microsoft > windows> current version > uninstall), and none are for Battlefield 2, but yet it still displays Battlefield 2 (TM) installed on Uninstall Program.

Re: x32 bit Ultimate, Installation crashes at load time
The virtual disc was ok, problem was that Windows 7 somehow repeat showing that my bf2 is installed. I had to use CCleaner (free software) to delete the same thing there was on uninstall program (it was on CCleaner.exe > Tools > Battlefield 2 (TM) = Delete Entry).
I have checked it later to see if its still on Uninstall Program, and i saw that, every time i open it up, it just 'creates' a new Battlefield 2 registry file or w/e it is.
I just had to delete with CCleaner and never look inside Uninstall Program.
Thank you for your time, have a nice week ^^
