Computer details:
OS - Windows 7 Ultimate x32bit
Processor = Inter(R) Core(TM)2 Quad CPU Q8300 @2.50GHz 2.50Ghz
Installed memory (RAM) = 2.50 GB
*****I bought this Windows 7 & the game, its totally original******
Hell I'm David
I got a problem with installing Battlefield 2. First of all i lost my disc so i had to pirate the version (didn't loose my cd key).
The 'story' begins when i had a 'Invalid Cd key' message every time i joined a server, due the fact i played usually admin account and moved to a new account on Windows 7.
I had this problem before so i just took a look at the instructions that appeared at 'that' question, and did the same thing over here. Those were instructions first of all to refresh reg keys. That didn't work so i moved to the next step and manually uninstall Battlefield 2. So i went to the key list, as it says in instructions and found all keys except ONE. There were two last keys i had to delete and one was just not there, so i thought 'why not' and deleted the keys and deleted the folder & files needed. Then i put in the disc (thats when i had it) and try to install. It starts everything normal, but when it starts the first installation, it only takes 1 second, and it just 'skips' the whole progress bar and says 'installation finished', i clicked finish.
Ofcourse it didn't work, so i had to manually uninstall the bf2 again.
After i followed instructions from your team, i mean after this install problem, the installation crash appears even earlier, when it just loads the installation.
Don't know if its better or not, but this is how it is.
i have my cd key online, no worries about the disc i can say i got it.
i have deleted every possible damn registry key there is, and yet still says on my 'Uninstall Program' list that battlefield 2 TM is installed, since 4/4/2010.
Please help this problem is annoying.
Thank you for time for listening,
David Ginzbourg.
