please don't take this as a suggestion ,I'm just saying xD
some people asked "why not add something like armor piercing effect into the game, allow players to kill armor crew without destroy the vehicles"
most of them get a answer like this one "can't be done on BF2 engine"
but things like that do happen in PR,when I was playing PRSP I fired an AT4 at a BRDM-2 in the front and it kills the driver but the gunner is still alive.(he killed me later)
maybe it's just because the penetrable windshield, but same thing happened on BTR before
American LAV-25 sometimes kill the BTR driver through the frontal armor while engaging MEC APCs ,but that doesn't happen after several updates.
=)

Re: killing crew without destroy the vehicle
i think that it would be hard coded, but you would have to wait for a offical response. However this might be possible with PR ARMA

If I remember correctly, I was once killed the in the driving seat inside a Tank while being engaged by an enemy Tank.

Possible in Arma, confirmed both in OA and standard. Shot on the right spot will kill the gunner/driver/commander, if the hit has done a perfect penetration through the reactive armor and the standard armor alloy.John-117 wrote:i think that it would be hard coded, but you would have to wait for a offical response. Nah, either works. But if you want full arma coverage you want both.
OA is standalone expansion (to my knowledge).
(And i ment that killing crew from a armored vehicle works both in the OA and in Arma2. But by no means you need both to do that)
But i seriously recommend to get OA at least, since that has solved most of the bugs from Arma2 with lot more neat features, as you might have seen in the demonstration videos.

He's saying it already can happen in PR:BF2, it's out of question that a different engine is capable of it.

Locked as this smells like a suggestion outside the appropriate forum. When this scenario occurs it is either a bug (eg. armour crews getting killed by molotovs in v0.
or due to some other factor like the glass on the BRDM.
