Adjusting FOV

Post by HileMighClub »

Hey guys, I play on a 21" inch at 1680x1050 and was wondering if there was a way to change FOV? Thanks!

Patch 1.5 does do FOV alterations as my brother on a 16:9 monitor (1920x1080) had a different FOV on the end screen of Fallujah (he could see more on the sides) than me with my 16:10 monitor (1680x1050). Widescreenfixer will allow you to change the FOV to your own desire though.

Doesn't PB disallow this?
Guys, when a new player comes, just answer his question and go on your merry way, instead of going berserk! It's THAT simple! :D

I used to use widescreen fixer never had a problem with it.

Tip though BF2 can have issues with refresh rates below 60hz so if you run into any problems while playing with resolutions that may be the cause.

I remember that. Wasnt that with your laptop?

Me too on a MSI laptop, from new had refresh set at 59hz, as Vista sees this and reacts to it no VBF or PR, XP ignored this hang over from the CRT monitor times.
Some others do this such as Asus.

It doesn't like refresh rates over 60hz either, I had all manner of issues making things work properly running it at 63hz on my old computer.

i couldn't play with my 61hz laptop monitor either, was easy to fix though, just went into the textsheet for my player profile an changed the refresh rate the game should start at.
