[?] Putting edited maps in game?
Im messing around with some of the files and want to have two kashan deserts, one with planes and one without to play on a local server. I cant get both to show up in the map list. one is called kashan_desert and the other kashan_desert2, so how do I get them to both show up in the map list?

Re: Putting edited maps in game
I downloaded that, and the maps can be seen ingame, however when I load them they crash on 13% when loading objects. I edited a few more maps and they all do this. However, when I name an altered map the original name, eg if I call kashan with planes kashan_desert it works fine even though it is modded. Any ways I can play all my maps without changing the name each time i want to play them?

No error message in windowed, so I ran bf2_r and it said "The application has generated a exception and will be closed. Please attach the crash dump to the error report"

Re: Putting edited maps in game
Ok
I was bored so I decided to edit kashan desert. I made a few different copies of it so I could make a few different versions of it.
For the first edited map, I went to C/program files/ea games/ bf2/ mods/prcopy/levels/kashan_desert2/server/gamemodes/coop/64
then i changed the gameobjects file to prevent all the US planes from spawning
I did the same thing to other copies of the map, but instead changed:
a) no AA vehicles on the US
b) no vehicles for the US
c) all US spawn with rifleman AT (edited the init_sp.con to do this
The maps work fine when I name them kashan_desert, all the changes are in place.
However, i want to put all my edited copies of kashan in game with different names. I googled around and found that i needed to edit the .desc file in the info folder of the map to make it show ingame.
So, i changed this in each map info file so it suited the map name. Now, when i go into the game, my maps are in the map list, however when i select them they crash to desktop at 13% when loading objects. No error message in windowed mode, but when i run the bf2_r it says "The application has generated a exception and will be closed. Please attach the crash dump to the error report".
