Help Again. :S

Post by Johncro »

So if you don't remember. I was buying the GeForce GT220.
But what some idiots(Not on Here IRL) Forgot to notice is that i didn't have the correct slot for the card, it needed a PCI Express 16x
I need a PCI x1 or something like that, (I'll ink a pic of what I have)

So now I'm going for NVIDIA® GeForce® 9400 GT 1GB

Tell me, will this card work in my F***ing computer.
Dell Dimension 3100, there is a documentation page, I can't link it because it asks for a postal code. So do a search on google, type in: Dell Dimension 3100 specs and then click on a Link that has Dell Dimension 3100 documentation.

Look through it please. tell me if it will work.

And another thing, How well will this card run BF2, PR, FSX, Arma, Arma2, Cod4, AA2, AA3

Really all I care about is PR Bf2 AA2, AA3, Arma, FSX.

I have 1.2 GB memory in my comp now. with 465W PSU.

Conventional PCI - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

It looks like the one in my computer. I'll probably take a picture of the inside of my comp later today, when I cool down.

Feedback is completely welcome, Same with recommendations.

It'll work as long as its the PCI and not the PCIe version, but don't expect great performance with that, especially in ArmA.

What can I expect from it. Like Med graphics?

What about this guy here, Its a tad better.

Sparkle GeForce 9500 GT 1024MB PCI Low Profile

I have all the stuff ready to go,
Only one thing confuses me. It needs power from the PSU.

Read the requirements part on the page. :S

http://www.tigerdirect.ca/applications/ ... etailspecs

And can you tell me what kind of graphics I'll get on PR, BF2 and Arma?

Buy the Sparkle GeForce 9500 GT 1GB DDR2 PCI Low Profile at TigerDirect.ca

Not on ArmA 2, I have a GTS 250 and usually can't play on Normal/Medium. Probably low if your lucky.

as for PR, probably Low/Med

update:

Looks like I'm gonna buy the 9500GT

its the best PCI card out there.
And since I'm getting a new Computer next year anyway with better Graphics anyway.

Just got confirmation that it will work on my system.

So i'm getting a few more people to look at my stuff, then hopefully I'll be gaming in a week or two! :D
