Question about the Puma SS.

Post by Hotrod525 »

Since the new release of the puma, i have the impression that the second puma ( the one behind ) commander periscope is look the same way as the first puma, and that even if the turret are facing 2 different way ( wich would mean the periscope would be looking the other way ).

So now here's the questions,

Is the the CCTI now able to move ? ( i dont mean the cam the player got, i actualy mean the CCTI itself on the model )

If yes will this be added to all vehicle that had a CCTI ?

If so, any R-Dev willin to marry me ?

The one on the Puma is indeed moving independently from the turret.

Will R-Dev consider it for any other vehicle ?

I can see it for new vehicles but I don't think someone who has the skill is going to go back and redo the older ones.

I aint looked at the Puma in its current state so I dunno how its setup but its not possible to have a separate gunner and driver and have the driver controlling a periscope that's attached to the turret (which is controlled by the 2nd player, ie, the gunner), unless something new has come up that I haven't heard about which I doubt.

For the Stormer HVM (Brit ADV) the driver controls his own periscope as its attached to the hull and not the turret like on a tank if you have noticed that one.

The likley hood is the Puma is currently setup to either just be a 1 manned vehicle with the driver/gunner in one role like in vbf2 where it would then be possible to do or the periscope isn't attached to the turret and is just floating above it which would then mean if the turret turned it wouldn't turn with it which would only be workable then if the periscope is in the very centre of the turret which I doubt it is, although looking at the pics it might be, but on a Challenger 2 or M1A2 the periscope is offset from the centre of the turret and is on the right hand side of the turret which would mean if the turret moved it would end up floating in mid air if setup like that, unless like I said, there's a new way of making this work although I very much doubt it.
