I play pr on my windows xp laptop and it only runs well on low graphics. A lot of the time, when I join a game, the graphics are set on high even though they on low in the menu.
This can get really annoying and i want to know how I can prevent it from happening.

Well you can set/force the resolution the game plays @ through your desktop shortcut.
In your shortcuts 'target' string:
"C:\Program Files (x86)\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2\mods\pr\pr.exe"
Add:
+fullscreen 1 +szx 1024 +szy 768 +restart
To play @1024x768
Your shortcut can do more. I use:
start +widescreen 1 +szx 1600 +szy 1200 +restart +playerName xxxx +playerPassword xxxx
Replace XXXX with your user name and password
Adding this string bypasses the startup video, logs you in and takes you directly to the server browser.
