Ok here goes.
I`ve got old 3Ghz P4 with 768MB of ram. Stoneage vid card with 128MB
And I have lil bit of lag when I join a map (30 to 60 sec usually) after that its smooth. (graphic settings are on low ofc.) I cant play Yamalia, Dragonfly, Korengal and one more map which I cant remember.
And then i see in forums how people are telling that they are lagging with 2GB of ram and some super Vid card.
How the hll can I play this game ?
Edit: Sorry didint know where to post this.

Re: Help Running PR
Changed thread title to something slightly more informative. Moved to PR:BF2 Support.
OT: It's probably because you have your settings correctly tuned to the capabilities of your machine, ie. all on low. Many people experiencing poor performance are simply trying to run the game with settings that far exceed what their PC can manage, bar the odd anomaly that have extremely good systems but still get lag.

"I love the smell of napalm in the morning. You know, one time we had a hill bombed, for 12 hours. When it was all over, I walked up. We didn't find one of 'em, not one stinkin' dink body. The smell, you know that gasoline smell, the whole hill. Smelled like... victory. Someday this war's gonna end... "

Re: Help Running PR
Well, he isn't really asking for help.
About the original question: Guess it's the way the engine is optimized. When BF2 came out, there just were no multi-core systems and stuff, so I'd imagine the engine just can't handle those well.

Yeah I couldn't really think of a more descriptive title at the time.

The requirements for Battlefield 2 - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia are well lower than your computer...that is how you run it.
I am also using a P4 3~ ghz and I lag only on a few maps and when PB runs.
