I have a pair of Tritton AXPC 5.1 Surround Headphones but the game only seems to utilize the stereo part of the headset and not 5.1.
Does PR support 5.1?

"I love the smell of napalm in the morning. You know, one time we had a hill bombed, for 12 hours. When it was all over, I walked up. We didn't find one of 'em, not one stinkin' dink body. The smell, you know that gasoline smell, the whole hill. Smelled like... victory. Someday this war's gonna end... "

Re: Sound Issue?
I have a razer barracuda hp1 headset(5.1) and had a razer barracuda ac1 sound card(7.1/5.1) and I wanted to know why I was not getting 5.1 surround sound, read some forums and it turned out my ac1 was not supporting openal so it was defaulting to stereo.
openal was made because vista and 7 abanded directsound openal works around no directsound
I bought a creative xfi sound card(supports openal) and now I do have 5.1 surround but I get random blue screens.
So if you have windows XP you should have surround sound make sure you have hardware and high selected.
If you have Vista or 7 your going to need a card that supports openal.(I read a site that said only creative cards can do 5.1 surround in BF2, I don't know if that is true, but I do know my card(creative) is working in 5.1 surround /w random blue screens)
There is also programs out there for certain sound cards to get directsound working again. Creative has alchemy, I have seen one for Realtek and other brands of sound cards but I cant remember the name.
I have tried alchemy and I get loud popping and ups and down on sound.
