[Help] Lots of Statics cause CTD?

Hi

Just been adding some new bits and bobs to Baghdad, however after adding a few more statics, consisting of sidewalks and a couple of buildings. The map now crashes on load at 14 percent.

Its easy enough to go back to an old save but im really interested to find out why and what causes this crash on 14 percent. Ive even removed the ones ive put in and still crashes.

I currently have

7803 statics
408 unique objects
207 destroyables


can anyone shed some light on this?

Also can someone tell me if GPO's are loaded during the objects load in game? this also could be a fault

dunem go and run the map in windowed mode to see the error that gives at 14% ... If you haven't done that allready....

Indeed.

Doesn't include all the buggy objects and out of date etc but has a few in there.

thanks guys

i have infact run it in window mode and still gives no error message. first time i seen this issue.

also check that thread rhino and have stuck with static guidelines thruout the making.

I have the destroyable barn included and working/tested for 4 months. it seems to be an issue with some static a placed the other day. I have had to remove them to fix the error, will have to rebuild tonight step by step testing. Ill see if i can get back with some sort of reason to why its doing this.

Run it with the debugger, see if you get a message then?

Still no error with debug.


Ive fixed this error. I deleted just 1 destroyable object.

If i add any more destroyables to my map it wont load. I have 201 destroyables. shame i might have to miss out on the other 100 i planned ;(

14% can also be your roads check them maybe the CompiledRoads.con is loading a not existing mesh file from the /roads/ folder
