Can't launch Pr with new monitor (ACER GD245HQBID)

Ever since i bought my new screen i can't start PR. The first try ended with the game crashing back to windows before it even got started. So i looked around a bit and figured out how to change the resolution and hz without starting the game. So I tried again and this time i got to the login screen. But when i tried to log in it froze and then crashed back to windows.

After trying some different resolution options without any luck I gave up and reinstalled BF2. But that only set it back to not starting at all again. I've tried starting some other games like CS 1.6, Bad company, MW2 and so on. Just to see if those games also had problems launching with the wrong resolution (windows resolution is 1920x1080@120hz), but all those games worked fine.

So i have basically run out of ideas but perhaps someone in here knows how to fix it?

Run PR in windowed mode.... Sorry can't remember the command :S

And see if an error message pops up.

Haven't had time to install the patches or PR yet so for now i can only try on vBF2. When I got that error message I deleted "VideoSettings.setResolution 1280x1024@85Hz" from my video.con. Both the default and the "0001"-one. I think it worked actually. I'll just install the patches and try it with widescreen settings soon.

Ok... but you need the patches installed if you want acurrate results

From what I've read it should be able to run @ 120Hz. perhaps it's just a matter of waiting for the drivers to get updated(tweaked) for maximum performance?
