Game fails to open

Hi all, I am new to the forums, and have just downloaded and installed PR for BF2 but when i go to play it, it crashes before it loads. I am using windows 7 home premium. Does anyone know how to fix this? Really want to play it. I also have my BF2 installation patched to latest BF2 patch.

BF 2 patch 1.5

As i said in my original post, i had already install patch 1.5, i had done it when i installed BF2 months ago. The starting screen opens then i get a message saying that it has stopped working and i get two options check for a solution online or to close the program.

BF 2
BF 2 patch 1.41
BF 2 patch 1.5
PR part 1, part 2

If bf2 is working OK then chances are you did patch 1.41 before 1.5

In that case make sure you are running PR as an admin under W7.
Be sure to read the red stickys too
New PR problems are rare so most answers can be found there.

I feel like an idiot lol, i got it working just activating it within BF2, i was clicking on the standalone icons.
