update on that bug:
the MT LB gets damaged not only by shooting at the chains, it gets damaged by shooting at it at all. check the video above.

the thing is paper thin guys...
MT-LB Light Armored Multi-purpose Vehicle
it has between 7-14mm of armor. There's a reason they don't sit inside them in real life.

It's also worth noting that the regular and HMG variants only cost 5 tickets if destroyed.

oh! alright, thank you for providing this information!
i appreciate realistic add ons and im sure we all will find ways to deal with this new asset!
ps: 5 tickets is pretty much in respect of the actual ticket system

7-14mm is not very much however i do believe its enough to stop 9mm ammo i blew up a smoking one with an MP5 now thats a little much don't you think?'[R-DEV wrote:motherdear;1469657']the thing is paper thin guys...

Take into account that shooting the side of a tin fence won't make it explode

Actually 2mm armor plate is enough to stop 9mm ammo.Alucard wrote:7-14mm is not very much however i do believe its enough to stop 9mm ammo i blew up a smoking one with an MP5 now thats a little much don't you think?
I have one such a plate (actual armor plate from bulletproof vest) and I used it once for training with 9mm.
It stopped all the bullets fired from 5m. And it was the plate alone. No kevlar around it like it vest.
And MT LB has 7-14mm of armor... it should be able to successfully stop bullets up to .50 caliber. And consider also the thing, that you don't shoot it point blank...

Re: [0957] MT LB damage by shooting at chains
depends on the .50 cal round but yes like i said the armor may be paper thin and couldn't stand up to larger rounds i know that no MP-5 9mm would do damage to the MT-LB so i do believe this should be considered a bug and looked into fixingaQua_LV wrote:Actually 2mm armor plate is enough to stop 9mm ammo.

here doing a little research on the website you posted before the BTR-80 for instance
BTR-80 Armored Personnel Carrier
it doesn't take damage from getting shot in the in the tires of the small space above the tires from small arms it doesn't take damage from .50 cals to my knowledge and it has weaker armor 7-10

Re: [0957] MT LB damage by shooting at chains
As far as I know they like to sit on the roof because it puts more metal between them and a land mine, and because it's more comfortable than in a dark cramped interior hehe. I'd imagine a 50 calibre round could probably injure people inside, but the engine block's pretty tough - I don't think a 7.62 round would do much to that slab of metal if it even managed to punch through half an inch of steel. Still, a 50 calibre round may be enough to damage it a little...

Re: [0957] MT LB damage by shooting at chains
agreed i do believe a .50 cal round could probably penetrate at close range but a MP-5 should not be able to blow it up neither should 7.62 rounds even more so to the fact that 95% of the time if its on muttrah anyways americans would be using 5.56UberWazuSoldier wrote:As far as I know they like to sit on the roof because it puts more metal between them and a land mine, and because it's more comfortable than in a dark cramped interior hehe. Re: [0957] MT LB damage by shooting at chains
I dont understand why this is in PR at all tbh even motherdeer's link said its main role is to tow things soooo what in PR needs towing?
not been in this deathtrap but I wonder does it have the firing ports on the sides and rear for infantry to shoot out of like it says on the page there basing the stats off of?
Or was that feature left out because no blufor APC has this advantage so soviet era vehicles cant? even know thay are there in real life.

If you allow one weapon it allows them all to fire out = Hat shooting out the back of APC. Unless you give it the vanilla style Mg's in the firing ports.Trooper909 wrote:I dont understand why this is in PR at all tbh even motherdeer's link said its main role is to tow things soooo what in PR needs towing?

I love the thing. Low profile, enough armour (easily takes a LAT and survives) and it decent VS inf and perfect for light mech inf. Used in conjunction with the cannon version it is pretty dam powerful.

Back on topic your post makes 0 sense considering this thread is about it getting killed by a 9mm handgun.
