Random CTDs & Funny Textures

Hey everyone,

I enjoyed playing PR 0.91 - it was usually stable and fine to play. But ever since I play 0.95 (as great as it is - content wise), random CTD's are haunting me among other issues:

Funny Textures: Whatever map, whatever mode: I spawn and the weapon-texture is completely black. Also, objects near me are not or only partially rendered. It makes it feel like running in an invisible maze. Also: helmets of the playermodels do not render.

Random CTDs: What to say? The maps just randomly crash to desktop - with no reason given. No error-message what so ever... but that is only since 0.95

Note: This is not map- or mode specific! It occurs on all maps, all modes - I have tested it on numerous servers
Is there anything I can do?

Rig:

Win7 Pro
Q6600 @ 2.40 GHz
2GB DDR2 RAM
ATI R4850 with 1GB VRAM

All Settings High / 2x AA / 1920x1080

i had black textures followed by a CTD yesterday, fixed it by lowering textures to medium. i also have 2GB ram and i get the impression it can't handle the awesome textures the devs give us. hope that helps.

never got black textures but the ctds yes randomly and no error message, medium textures doesnt fix it for me

Alright, I will set textures to medium.

I am also suffering from this! Just a random C-T-D, can happen 2 minutes in or 20 minutes in! I get the black textures now and again, But not to often!

Hope there' a fix soon

guess it's the same symptom but not the same problem then. hopefully you'll get it sorted soon.
