German Lat Hat Question
I have only used them in coop but I cannot figure them out. I try to put 100m on the 1 +, and the 200m on the 2 + but it?s always short. I just did a test and it seems to hit a target at 150m you have to use the 4 +. Even if the numbers are not the ranges at 100m the German hat seems to fall to the ground faster than the rpg which makes its effect range about 200m.
Is this how this weapon acts in Real World?

Re: German Lat Hat Question
The PzF scope isn't accurate to its real wold counterpart, just like the current Russian HAT scope or the BTR optics for the gunner/driver.
I believe the only current weapon to accurately portray this is the SPG-9. With the RPG's/PzF you really just have to go on intuition.

Could this not be fixed in the same way as with the grenadiers UGL sight?

Re: German Lat Hat Question
Ok knowing the sight is not right does the real world projectile drop like it does in game, I was watching some videos online and it looks like there is allot of different rounds it uses but they were shooting straight up to 600+ meters.
To fire 600 meters in game you would have to rainbow it.

Re: German Lat Hat Question
Any word on whether it's planned to implement them properly across the weapons systems that have them?
Specifically the RPG-26 could use the Grenadier style aiming, all LATs/HATs would benefit from having a proper aiming system, and it would be awesome to see things like the ACOG lines being accurate.

Wow mate, brand new version comes out, 3 days later you want the team to do something of that magnitutde. Will anything make you happy?Celestial1 wrote:Any word on whether it's planned to implement them properly across the weapons systems that have them?

Take it slow, as stated in other threads the DEVs are working on fixes for .95 right now.
Now, let's try to keep this thread on-topic

You're misunderstanding me. I'm not implying it should be done right away or something. Just wondering if it's being considered/planned for the future.[R-MOD]BloodBane611 wrote:Wow mate, brand new version comes out, 3 days later you want the team to do something of that magnitutde. Trust me, I am in no way ungrateful of the new release.

Re: German Lat Hat Question
Somehow this got off topic, so I understand that sights on the Germen Hat and Lat are not real world accurate but is the drop on the Germen Hat and Lat accurate to the real world counterparts?

Re: German Lat Hat Question
Well and another problem is that the MILAN is not implemented into PR therefore the German faction is without a real HAT. This would not be to bad if you could use the LAT realisticly but due to the problems explained earlier in this topic the German faction in PR is stranded without any Infantry AntiTank or Infantry AntiStructure capabilities

Re: German Lat Hat Question
No blood I’m saying even though I have never fired a panzerfaust 3 the drop on the war head seems unrealistic, falling to the ground @ 150m when holding the tube at a 45 degree angle.
Here is what I looked up on a wiki
PzF 3
• Maximum effective range:-
o Stationary targets: 400.0 m (1,312.3 ft)
o Moving targets: 300.0 m (984.3 ft)
PzF 3-IT
• Maximum effective range:-
o Stationary targets: 400.0 m (1,312.3 ft)
o Moving targets: 300.0 m (984.3 ft) (600.0 m (1,968.5 ft) with DYNARANGE sight)
So if this is true I feel that the Germen Hat and Lat are not firing at the range of their real world counterparts no matter what the sight is doing. The war head is falling to the ground to fast. To get it to fire 400m in game your angle on the gun would be well over 45 degrees.
So blood are you saying that the warhead is firing at the correct range and the sight has to be adjusted for it, or are you saying the warhead is firing wrong and the sight is correct?

Re: German Lat Hat Question
Well the ranges that were listed by you are true for the standart sighting system. A new computerized sightingsystem is beeing introduced at the moment which increases the effective range even further espacially at moving targets.
In PR you got frontline troops fielding the old sighting system shooting warheads that drop about 10 times as fast as their reallife counterparts. Talking about realism^^. And this is not about deviation this is just bulletdrop gone wrong

Re: German Lat Hat Question
The point of my original post was this: If you know a rocket system works one way in real life, i.e. watched a youtube video of it and know its specifications, but it clearly doesn't work that way in PR, it's because it is not realistic! That's simple deductive reasoning.talkinBEERmug wrote:No blood I?m saying even though I have never fired a panzerfaust 3 the drop on the war head seems unrealistic, falling to the ground @ 150m when holding the tube at a 45 degree angle.

The sighting system is 100% realistic as far as I know though, typically our modelers do an amazing job with things of that nature
