Not actually, I'm not a mod. But basically.
Don't really worry about the height, if you don't know how to use it you're not accurate enough for it to matter.

boilerrat pretty much sums it up.

The height is just the height the objective is above/below you, in his case, it's -50. You can't really get an accurate measurement, you have to "eyeball" it, in most cases in my opinion.

which is interesting because usually the mortar placement is thousands of units away.

Ok, that I knew. But how do you KNOW exactly your height in proportion to the target's height seriously?
You estimate or something?

Basicly, unless you can pick up a heli, have it land next to the mortar, note the altitude, then land next to the enemy, do the same, and calculate the difference, perfectly safe :p

That is TOO much hassle.

Mortars are not super 1337 laser guided bawmbs... You really just need to guess.

Kashan is a easy map to do for this.

Or he can work with a spotter out in field who's adjusting his rounds instead of firing blindly at targets that might not even be there. Usually mortar teams don't have spotters in the same squad so you should use the team chat to ask for accurate fire missions(not ones you set down).

Well wouldn't this be the place to ask then?

maybe they can make a height card for the mortar accessible by pressen 5. that would show the hight for different areas of the map. or u can find the highest place on the map and set up ther and u can keep the hight a 0
