I've tried everything I could find, using the script for steam, I've rechecked the directory about 3 times to see if it was wrong, and I still get the message when I start up PR that "I must use pr.exe to run Project Reality"
Whenever I click the shortcut, it brings up steam, and starts BF2, so I click on the community tab and press activate, then I get the error.
Can anyone help..?
EDIT: I fixed it, for any steam user that has "+modPath mods/xpack" in their launch options, you need to take that out. Pretty random.
Tried everything, still get .exe problems.

Yes you need to remove steam launch options, as PR: BF2 does not actually run through steams option settings it uses the shortcut settings instead.Daft wrote: EDIT: I fixed it, for any steam user that has "+modPath mods/xpack" in their launch options, you need to take that out. Pretty random.

Just don't launch it through steam, use the shortcut.
