Hello.
Ever since the PR 0.91 came out, i've been having lags. I totally got sick of it now, so i would like to solve this problem. I've been trying a lot of different things to solve this issue, but nothing helped. It's certainly not my system that's not powerful enough, so what else could it be ?
My system:
OS: Windows 7
Mobo: XFX 780i
CPU : Intel Q6600 @ 3.6 GHz
RAM : 8GB DDR2 800MHz
GPU : nVidia GeForce GTX460 1GB @ 875MHz
+ nVidia GeForce 9800GT (PhysX)
Resolution: 1920*1080
Many thanks,
Luijtjuh

I am curious if the 9800 might be bottlenecking your PC (even if only used for PhysX). Please disable it for testing purposes.
Check your "Event Viewer" for something fishy.
Run a full virus scan.
What is your network setup (how are you connected to the internet)?

Got a PROBLEM? Check this: PR:BF2 Installation Guide

re: PR.0957 lag issue/Fixed
I don't think my 9800GT is bottlenecking anything, because i only recently upgraded to this GTX460. I was having the same lag with that card alone. I'll give it a go though. I'm using a triple-monitor setup btw, gaming on my main monitor. I'll try 1 monitor with the GTX460.
It's not a network issue I'm having; my ping is fine and I have the same issue in singleplayer (co-op). My PC is also clean of virusses, so that's not the problem either.
I just bought an SSD yesterday, they're going to deliver it later this week, so i'll be running from a clean install, I'll check if I have the same lag then.
PS:
I know a lot about PC's, so don't be afraid to tell me anything that a normal person wouldn't know

re: PR.0957 lag issue/Fixed
I've had horrible fps with PR for some time as well. I believe it has something to do with the horrendous memory leaks BF2 has.
Intel Q8200 2.33 ghz @ 2.4ghz
4GB DDR2 ram
Nvidia GTX 260
No matter what settings I've changed or anything I've done to my computer, including a complete Windows reinstall, there has been no difference in fps. I believe it's something to do with Windows 7. I have a friend with 2 8800GTs, a 2.6 quad with Windows Vista on a machine thats several years old and he runs everything on max smoothly. I know a few XP users with older machines that run it smoothly too.

The SSD got delivered yesterday, so I installed windows 7 64-bit on it. Now I'm playing without lag. Problem solved for me, but i still don't know what caused it.
