Files not saving (Via Firefox)

Well, I'm not quite sure what could of made this problem arise, but the problem is, that Firefox won't save the files/something is deleting the files.

Essentially, Let's say I want to download a picture, and save it to my desktop, It downloads, saves on the desktop, but then magically disappears, and no matter where I save it, It will always go away.

I have a idea that it might be AVG 2011, but I'm not sure if it is that.

everytime Firefox downloads something for me it puts it in C:\temp. I have to go track it down everytime.
