Whats about the "new" mortars in the last fix? After the Squadleader set a new mortar marker i can only use them for about 10seconds, i think thats way to short. The Squadleader have to set new markers all the time and and spam the teamchat. I think thats not a good way to "improve" the mortars. Will it be changed with the Clientfix or are that how mortars ment to be?

And in the meantime, you should align your mortar before you get the firemission (just line up the arrow and inverted chevron on your compass), then take the time while the firemission is up to actually calculate the distance, and by the time the firemission disappears, you'll be set to fire. You can fire even while "blind" in the mortar, so if you do your calculations before it runs out you can still carry out the firemission.
