Run PR without exe
I have installed bf2 on my mac.. And i know that its not working originally.
But i have cider port it. So to the question, when i try to run Pr mod , it says "you must use pr.exe" in german.
So how can i run it properly?
There is no exe and in mac you cant open them. I have installed other mods too..

Have you looked under bf2/mods/pr? Or there should be a shortcut somewhere, too.

No exe.
Can't i fix so i can launch it from the battlefield menu?
I mean that i dont need the exe launch.
Note that i just installed the PR mod on windows then moved to to mac's battlefield 2/mods folder.

Unfortunately I believe PR needs that EXE not for your convenience, but to read things from BF2 for custom shaders or something like that. There's also a new tr.exe which is used for the thermals or something... oh and the compass chevron at the bottom as well.butte28 wrote:No exe.

I'm thinking PR on macs = no go.

Re: Run PR without exe
You will need to be able to handle all three EXE files, as PR and TR both hook BF2 to provide new shaders, compass points, etc.

Players might be hardcoded, but that sure doesn't seem to stop anybody from trying.

Emulators will be too slow.dunem666 wrote:get an xp emulator
Run Bootcamp (which should have come with Mac OS X) to create a virtual disk. Install Windows on the the virtual disk. When Windows is launched, the computer is running it directly (i.e. the Mac hardware is running as a Windows machine).

You'll have to try out bootcamp and run a dualboot with XP/Vista/7. PR won't work on OSX, since we don't have OSX compiled exe's or installers.
You must have pr.exe and tr.exe running for PR to function.

A question... if you got BF2 from steam, couldn't you just change the launch place? Ie. make it launch PR instead of vBF2?

That'd still not launch tr.exe though?
