Re: Radeon X800XL
To be honest it's a combination of both. I would say upgrade your ram first to 2GB because it will alleviate a lot of the stutter, but at the end of the day the X800XL is a card that wasn't even the top of the line in 2005, so 20FPS from a game released in late 2010 is quite reasonable.Rushhour33 wrote:Get like 20 FPS and wonder if its becuz of video card or just haviing 1 GB RAM. Re: Radeon X800XL
x800 isnt a horrible card. at least it has a 256bit memory. i run PR fine on medium settings with 256mb 128bit video card. anyways, it is a old card so idk how it will run, but the rest of your system isnt great either. 1 gb ddr ram is not enough and rather slow. the ahtlon 3200+ is considered slow nowadays and believe it or not, BF2/PR is also pretty CPU dependent especially at low settings.
id go with what Psyrus said and try to upgrade the ram as it would be the cheapest way to have smoother/less stuttery gameplay and it's probably your biggest bottleneck atm.
