under, configure - settings - shortcuts, what channel do i put a key to, to be able to communicate with squad members? i was only able to find out what the squad leader channel does by reading the forums. i also can not find out when any of these channel connect when the game opens. when i hold the button i assign to any of these channels, nobody answers back. mic tests in and out of game work. default and soundcard based tests work.
i have used mics with meetings, games and chat... project reality has trumped me though. i've read guides and watched vids on this matter. i hope my question above will solve it.
what channel do i put a key to, to be able to communicate with squad members?

I think he is refering to PR-Mumble. Not BF2 VOIP.
Mumble has a different concept than BF2 VOIP.

and especially have a look at step 4.
