Hey guys, i've been thinking for this in a while....
Why are airports so small? I mean, it looks very huge for infantry to walk, but it is not that huge.
Shouldn't airports be at least 2KM for Kashan by example? Also, Airplanes like A10 should be much bigger, tanks too i think.
So, if we are playing in 1:4, why not to adjust the Distance too ? I mean make 600 meters now look like 1200 meters, or something like that.
It is very confusing cause if you look at Muttrah City, distances seems to be correct, but lookking in a bigger map such kashan, you get airports with 600 meters?

Its all about gameplay and engine limitations. There is no need to have a 2km realistic airport when its really only there to facilitate take offs.
Burning Sands and the in production Wake Island offer more realistic airport designs, but also don't incorporate vehicles spawning there as they could be camped unfairly.

It relates to original BF2 scales, which made vehicles too small.
PR originally used them, so the maps were scaled to them. From there, PR made it's own vehicles to fit the maps. Meaning the PR vehicles were also too small.
It would literally mean changing every single map and vehicle to fix it, and you can't just make the characters smaller in BF2 because they're all locked to 2m high.

Most of PR's vehicles are to there r/l scales. No. While there are miscaled vehicles, new vehicles are made with aim to fit them to RL dimensions as close as possible, same goes for old vehicles if they are re-exported.Truism wrote: PR originally used them, so the maps were scaled to them.
