We did a quick round of this a while ago on TG. It turns out that the BRDM respawns while the US Humvee does not.

Apart from that its a fun departure, even if the flat and level terrain of the US side of the map facilitates BRDM ambushes where such a strategy isn't feasible for the US .50cal humvee.
