Small freezes in game when running

For as long as I can remember now everytime I run around in the game I get like quick small, freezes. This happened on my other computer and is also happening on this new computer. I have tried lowering the graphics and some of the other options, but I still get it. This isn't lagg I dont think because I have tried making a game on my own and it still happens. This is a good computer I have right now, so does anyone have any suggestions as to what it could be. Thanks!!

What graphics card do you have mate? I use an ati 3850, and this happens. Use fps meter or something (ATI Tray Tools is great) to monitor performance when playing, and then get back to us.

I'll bet it's not enough RAM, or a slow vid card/too high resolution.
