unflipping vehicles
This is more of a question but I was just wondering...
Would it be possible to make the combat engineers wrench be able to unflip a vehicle ?

Re: unflipping vehicles
Probably, if it caused some sort of effect that caused the vehicle to fly up into the air, even then it isn't guaranteed that it would land on its feet. If that were to occur though, there would need to be a second wrench to carry out normal repair functions.
The most effective way of unflipping a vehicle is simply to place a foxhole/emplacement under it, but usually you're totally screwed unless there is a hill nearby.

A wrench to flip objects?
Yeah I don't see that getting abused at all, LOL
Good idea, but I doubt it will get used as intended. I can see it now, some asshat flipping tanks, apcs and such in main. Not cool.

Or going up to an enemy APC and flipping it on top of a building.theRVD wrote: Good idea, but I doubt it will get used as intended. I can see it now, some asshat flipping tanks, apcs and such in main. Not cool.

The gaskin at least can spazz out the aa array to right itself.
Players might be hardcoded, but that sure doesn't seem to stop anybody from trying.
The only winning move is not to play. Insurgency, that is.

Re: unflipping vehicles
discussed to death. the answer is no. your best bet is it hit it with another vehicle. it would be even better if you didnt flip it in the first place.

Re: unflipping vehicles
Often if placed under it successfully the geometries will collide either sending it up in the air or sliding it away. Its hard to do since often the emplacement will simply deploy next to it.Jafar Ironclad wrote:What happens if you attempt to deploy assets onto a flipped vehicle?

Haa Scared, you're Canadian too lol. I remember attacking a cache with you with an Humvee at the end of a game in Karbala, that was kind of epic lol.

Re: unflipping vehicles
How about being able to deploy an emplacement that could fire objects to make the vehicle unflip itself? Bullets with no damage, and selectable rounds for either explosion or implosion.

How about a squad (or two) all crouching/pushing forward on the same side of the vehicle? (Only works on light vehicles.) Maybe with the shovel selected to represent trying to pry it over. Possible to temporarily immobilize any abandoned enemy trucks, hmv, etc.

Or what about just facepalming, verbal abuse, then walking, instead of wasting all that time?

A medic's resuscitate can push some vehicles back onto their wheels in they're on their side.
For ones completely upside down... Unlucky, shouldn't have flipped it I say.
