I get the feeling that the UGL is too awesome (read, not over-powered, just awesome) to be as underrepresented as it is on the PR battlefield, specifically that an individual squad only fields one guy with a grenade launcher. What would the game play effects be if Officer CQ variant kits included a UGL and, say, 4 or 5 40mm grenades replacing hand grenades? They wouldn't get launched smokes, don't get as many grenades as the Grenadier, and have to rely on CQ sights with their rifle where the grenadier gets a choice in the matter.
I'm pretty sure that at least in the US armed forces that a number of officers have UGL's as part of their kit, but I won't attempt to argue this point; MA's would know full well. But I mean, I get the sensation that they show up more as part of a soldier's kit in reality than they do in PR, and that they're not nearly as feared as they need to be because they don't show often. Thoughts?
UGL for Officers as part an alt kit?

I sense much lone wolfing and 1 man locked squads.

Heu... Officiers do not carry usaly carry a M203... Well in the C.F. they are carrying a C8A3 and a 9mm thats it. And i honestly can't imagine a Captain directly on the front-line, i mean close enought to even use it. May be a Lt, but in P.R. S.L. are captain

I know for USMC Officers you need to request a M203 and u need to be qualified with it. You need to be trained with it. I am sure the US Army does the same thing.
But yes for the most part the majority of officers do not bother because there usually is a M203 in every fire team so 3 or 4 in a platoon is more then enough.

. . . I dont think thats a good idea then what is the point in having a Granadeer kit??? if the squad leader is just going to take the kit . . . there would be no point in some one else being there . . would they get the officer kit in heinsight? hahah a Role switch? possibly they should just spawn in and switch kits does that make sense? . . Now if you are suggesting a sepirate weapon like a small hand held granade launcher for just smoke i could possibly see that . . .but then how would he throw smoke down next to him if he needed it?
